Not a lot accomplished today.

Master Jaxon had a dentist appointment  today, that was my big event. I don't know where the day went, but between that appointment, and dinner, and twitter, and working out, the day flew.

Had a nice phone conversation with Nikki tonight. Very long overdue, and NICE! We don't do that nearly enough.

No book writing..I just didn't have anything to give it today. Oh!  I signed up for a writing workshop last night! Pretty excited about that. I have a lot to learn.

Sick bebe boy/ballooning weight

Jaxon's home again, and the school nurse pretty much said she's not planning on his coming back to school until Monday. Such a disruption for everybody. He'll be going out of his mind by tomorrow, and I already am.

My weight is off the freaking charts. I MISS having daytime hours to myself, where I could work out alone...in peace. I know Jeff would leave the room or whatever if I asked, it's just hard when he's trying to find a job, and sick kids, and me trying to make myself feel better with crappy food. Tyler isn't very happy right now, either. He internalizes everything. Makes jokes trying to make everyone feel better. My poor little family.

I'm so glad Ty has his Washington D.C. trip at the end of the month. It'll do him good to get away with other kids and have fun for a couple of days.

Come on March 29!

I did a lot of cooking today...for me.

I had both boys home sick today, which made it feel like a weekend. I made French toast for breakfast. I had to laugh how quickly that got Tyler out of bed. Jeff grilled hot dogs for lunch, and I made my home made spaghetti sauce and meatballs for dinner. Turned out fantastic! I even put a little kick in it by using this Southwest Chipotle seasoning in it. Jaxon loved it, although he had to take a drink after every bite because of the sting. :)

Not too much longer, and Jeffery should have a job. I will be doing cart wheels (can you imagine?) :) I'm trying to treasure this time we've had together. It probably won't happen again unless or until we get to retire.

I need to get back to working on the book. I actually loaded it, but it was late afternoon and the creativity just would not flow. Doesn't help that there's so many people around. By Monday I hope to be cranking out some new words. I'm going to spend the next few days just editing what I've got.

Iowa or Florida? That's the big question. Oy! More on that later.

It's been a while..

I had really high hopes, that this year was going to be fantastic, since LAST year was so CRAPtastic.

Ugh, was I wrong. Jeff lost his job the end of January, and here it is, almost the middle of March. He has a couple of good prospects: One takes us to Florida; the other to Iowa. I-O-W-A!

I never saw myself living in Iowa, but what the heck...I never saw myself in California or New York either. I was excited about the Florida one. The weather--endless summer--is very exciting. But the more we talked about the one in Iowa, the better it sounded. The job pays less, but the place sounds really nice. Cost of living is much lower than here or Cali so we could actually afford a house in a year.

Ultimately, Jeff has to pick the job that's the best for him. I just want it done already. The waiting is torture.

Horrible Earthquake/Tsunami in Japan today. I'll be praying for those poor poeple. It's so sad.

I'm 180 pages into my first manuscript. Still a ton of work to do on it. The stuff with Jeff's job had kind of frozen any creativity I had in me, but I think I could actually get back to it now. I had originally hoped to have it done by June, but no way. Maybe the end of the year...?
